Mondays are hard, but judging is easy.
JESSICA CHASTAIN in Ischia, Italy
gown by Mary Katrantzou
In my March Fabness spreadsheet, and in life, there are good looks, there are great looks, and there are looks that set the bar for the year’s Fabbest of Them All. Jessica Chastain’s incredible outfit falls into that prestigious third category. No, I don’t know why the bottom of her hair is a completely different shade of red from the top of her hair, and I don’t care. This is still amazing.
KATE BOSWORTH in Los Angeles
dress by RED Valentino, shoes by Bionda Castana
The dress is so sweet and simple, it could have been boring on a lesser woman. But Kate Bosworth threw on those sexy shoes and changed the whole game. I don’t even hate the braid, and I hate approximately 83% of all braids on the red carpet.
DIANE KRUGER in New York City
dress by Honor
Diane Kruger stole my Resort 2015 red carpet prediction for Kiernan Shipka, but wore it just as delightfully as little Sally Draper would have. She’s positively glowing.
EMMA STONE in New York City
dress and shoes by Dolce & Gabbana
A stunning dress. That shade of violet makes her hair pop, and the pink shade of lipstick is absolutely flawless. The shoes are a surprise, possibly in a good way. The verdict’s still out on that one.
EMMA STONE in New York City
dress by Giambattista Valli
I want all of this. Actually, I just want to carry Emma Stone around in my pocket.
EMMA STONE in New York City
blouse and pants by Antonio Berardi, shoes by Christian Louboutin
The pants are somewhat less than flattering, but the blouse is pretty and the shoes kick ass.
AMY ADAMS in New York City
dress and purse by MaxMara, shoes by Christian Louboutin
Just when you thought this was going to be basic head-to-toe red, Amy pulled out those crazy multicolored heels. I love them. She looks phenomenal.
KERI RUSSELL in Madrid
jumpsuit by Lanvin
I don’t know why Keri Russell is suddenly everywhere, looking amazing, all the time, but she is, so let’s appreciate it. A draped jumpsuit is not my personal thing, but she’s wearing the shit out of this.
CAMERON DIAZ in Los Angeles
dress by Vionnet, shoes by Balenciaga
I loved this dress on Maggie Gyllenhaal, and I love it on Cameron. This is by far her best look yet from this godforsaken Sex Tape promo tour.
CAMERON DIAZ at the ESPY Awards
dress by Reed Krakoff, shoes by Prada
ESPYs-approved. It’s black, it’s sexy, it has pockets. The end.
ASHLEY MADEKWE in Los Angeles
dress by Christian Dior, shoes by Saint Laurent
Precious. The texture of this dress is just heavenly.
CHRISSY TEIGEN in Los Angeles
top and skirt by Milly, shoes by Stuart Weitzman
A career high for Ms. Teigen, yet another devotee of the year’s most popular shoe on the red carpet.
MIRANDA KERR in New York City
top and pants by Sportmax, shoes by Alexander Wang
Yeah, you definitely have to look like Miranda Kerr to pull off those positively insane pants, but I love this on her. The lipstick is especially fabulous.
CHRISTINA HENDRICKS in New York City
blouse and skirt by Dolce & Gabbana
It’s a little matronly, and the makeup is way too heavy, but I don’t hate it.
AUDREY TAUTOU in New York City
dress by Dolce & Gabbana, purse and shoes by Prada
Cute dress, boring accessories.
ALLISON WILLIAMS in New York City
dress by Altuzarra
I’ll accept this, but someone’s going to have to take a stand against awkwardly-sized cut-outs eventually.
JESSICA ALBA at the ESPY Awards
dress by Elie Saab, shoes by Brian Atwood
A wee bit too craftsy for my taste, and also I just so don’t care about Jessica Alba on the red carpet. She’s so much more stylish in her equally-posed-but-seemingly-relaxed street style looks.
IGGY AZALEA at the ESPY Awards
gown by Elie Saab
Um, this is not so fancy. I’m just saying. She could do better.
LIZZY CAPLAN in Los Angeles
dress by Marchesa, shoes by Sophia Webster
Whoever paired those shoes with that dress needs to be fired immediately.
LIZZY CAPLAN in Los Angeles
gown by Roksanda Ilincic, shoes by Brian Atwood
I repeat: whoever paired those shoes with that dress needs to be fired IMMEDIATELY.
