Penelope Cruz for Vogue

Penelope Cruz covered the June 2011 issue of Vogue and oozed Latina fabulosity all over the place.

A stunning woman, styled simply. It looks more like a Covergirl ad than a Vogue cover, but Penelope Cruz is so beautiful, it doesn’t even matter.

Dress by Dolce & Gabbana

Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2011. You heard it here first – these white lace dresses are EVERYWHERE. But it looks better on Penelope than almost anyone else.

Stunning, but it’s a little vulgar how her legs are silhouetted against the light. I can see a little too much for such an otherwise wholesome picture. Killer espadrilles, though.

Fabulous photo, but isn’t this a fashion magazine? They seem to be focusing on the beauty of Penelope rather than the beauty of fashion, which is what happens when fashion mags pick celebrities (actresses, singers, etc.) rather than models for the cover. Not that we’re dissing Cruz – she’s fab, and hotter than most supermodels – we just prefer when Vogue does what it does best: fashion.

Bodysuit by Dolce & Gabbana

Not my favorite picture. The pose is awkward, and makes her body’s proportions look a little skewed. She looks overly airbrushed and therefore empty of emotion. And this is one of the hottest women alive – can’t we dress her up in a fabulous ball gown instead of a one-piece swimsuit?

This whole editorial looks like one big Summer’s Eve ad. Sorry, it’s true.
