Lady Gaga for Vanity Fair (NSFW)

The bitch is back.

Honestly? Aside from the clothes, it’s an awful cover. The hair and makeup on Gaga in this shot are atrocious. No one is so famous that they can get away with giving lousy face on a Vanity Fair cover – it’s as if Annie Leibovitz threw the VF editors a test shot just to see if they’d notice. Again, the hat and gown are stunning and focus-grabbing, but the woman in them is – dare I say it? – forgettable.

Gown by Alexander McQueenThe makeup is still nightmarishly bad, but Gaga is at home in McQueen, and the accessories (belt, earrings, hat) are all delectable. I love the seascape and the city skyline behind her; it’s a photo that brings the drama in a way that few can do like Gaga.

I love the idea of Gaga in a massive wig, blinding glasses, and a couture gown, stopping to suck down a hot dog while the world watches. This photo has just a tiny bit too much going on, though. I actually find it difficult to focus on Gaga rather than that scary man in the blazer, jeans, and sneakers who looks like he’s plotting Gaga’s murder.

I love this photo. She looks so much like a deer in headlights, stunned but graceful. The makeup is much better, and the stripped-down quality of the picture appeals to me much more than some of the busier photos.

It’s a hell of a lot more interesting than most nude celebrity portraits, but I can’t really see anything but every rib in her body. It’s so distracting, how skeletal her torso looks, that I can’t really focus on much else, in spite of her tits and ass looking fucking amazing in this photo.

Girlfriend, what are you doing in that laundromat? I’m going to go ahead and guess that your Valentino gown is dry clean only.

I really really love the fourth one. She looks so pretty but still very Gaga. Its amazing how the picture with the least amount of detail is the one the seems to be the most high fashion. I think the last picture is supposed to represent that Gaga does everything looking crazy and thats just who she is.
