Front Row: Celebs at NYFW, Part 4

Stars in the front row have all the fun.

Love her dress, which feels like 1920s meets 2010s in a great way. She accessorized it beautifully, with the shrug and tights and pumps.

WORK it in that spectacular coat, Nina Garcia! With every passing fashion show, Nina Garcia becomes my hero over and over again. This woman is endlessly fierce.

Okay, so the jacket with the boots is a little costumey, but I sort of love this Nina Garcia as an equestrian thing, so I’m into it.

This is simulatenously hideous and also one of my favorite things that’s been worn to fashion week so far. I think the colors on the blouse are perfect for Dakota, but this Judy Jetson shape and wrinkled satin are ruining everything. And the pants are awful, in color, shape, and length. But the shoes are lovely, so we’re back to square one. It’s bright and interesting and it’s something I haven’t seen yet this week, so I’ll allow it. But burn those pants in a fire, Dakota.

Beautiful dress, but the shoes are for a different outfit and the purse is absolutely awful. Looks like a cosmetics case, not a clutch.

Boring, but that cardigan is totally awesome.

I’m sorry to say it, dear readers, but doesn’t Rose Byrne always look constipated? What is up with that? The shape of that coat doesn’t work for her, though I do love the shoes, but I can’t pay attention to that because she always looks like she’s got a stiletto up her ass.

Pretty dress, but I think it belongs on a teenager. And the purse is all wrong.

Love the dress, am on board with the shoes, hate the belt.

MEGAN HILTY at the Rachel Roy show

Are you watching Smash? Do it just so you can be as obsessed with Megan Hilty as I am. I don’t think this is the best silhouette for her, but the color is awesome and leather dresses are huge right now. The shoes are not my favorite, but they’re not black or nude peep-toe pumps, so, YAY!

JOHNNY WEIR at the Chris Benz show

You just have to love Johnny Weir. And that blazer. That blazer is DELICIOUS.

Gold lamé jackets with leopard-print lapels? Sign me up, bitches!

BRAD GORESKI at the Michael Bastian show

Not to be out-gayed by an ice skater, America’s sweetheart Brad Goreski donned yet another amazing coat and the fabbest, pinkest pants in the whole wide world. And I love it.

DITA VON TEESE at the Jenny Packham show // dress by Jenny Packham

She looks perfect, but there’s no denying that is is disappointingly boring, coming from Dita. Can we take a moment to compliment the gold patterned leggings of the girl sitting next to Dita? Get it, girl!

EMMY ROSSUM at the Donna Karan show

So beautiful that I don’t even mind how simple it is. Sometimes low-key is okay if it comes out looking this mega-beautiful.

Still gorgeous, but come on! I know Donna Karan is all about the LBD, but when you’re the face of her label and you’re at her fashion show, you need something a little more head-turning than this.

Those are some stripper shoes if I’ve ever seen them.

KRISTIN CHENOWETH at the Alice + Olivia show

I love me some Cheno, but she’s a bit old for such a babydoll look, isn’t she?

LEIGHTON MEESTER at the Vera Wang show // dress by Vera Wang, shoes by Giuseppe Zanotti

The dress doesn’t bother me, but I can’t remember the last time I hated a pair of shoes and a shade of lipstick quite this much.

RENEE ZELLWEGER at the Carolina Herrera show // top and skirt by Carolina Herrera

Oh, Renee, honey. This is a full-on disaster. The shoes are lovely and the skirt is fine, but all of this together, paired with that sad, sad hair – it’s just depressing. New York Fashion Week deserves better than this hot mess.

  1. Oh Please never stop posting, I live in the country area of France which is so conservative. I grew up in australia which full of colour and my family is full of gays. Being presented with black shoes is normal here and stumbling on your blog creates a little bit of sunshine in my house!
I really adore your honest normal views of fashion!
    Lots of love.

  2. Zoë

She was also on Gossip Girl, I think she’s called Kaylee DeFer, those leggings are
fa-bu-lous. I second that, please never, ever stop posting!

  3. Anonymously Ashamed

The girl sitting next to Dita is on Gossip Girl. I’m ashamed to admit that I know that, so I’m going to leave this anonymously.
