The Week in Celebrity Fashion

Welcome back to your not-quite-regularly-scheduled programming, dear readers! Let’s catch up on the last few weeks in fashion.

SOLANGE KNOWLES at her wedding in New Orleans
gown by Humberto Leon for Kenzo

It might be sacrilege to say this, but… Solange has officially become the best-dressed Knowles on the planet. Mazel tov on your wedding, ‘Lange, and please never stop wearing capes and Wonder Woman cuffs. You are a treasure.

What a glorious, stylish, fucking ridiculously awesome couple. Even their goddamn bike is cool.

NATASHA POLY in New York City
gown and purse by Emilio Pucci

A resounding “YAAAAAAAS” to this gown. I love everything about it.

CAMILA ALVESMATTHEW MCCONAUGHEY, and their children in Los Angeles
suits and dresses by Dolce & Gabbana

Sure, Camila and Matthew are cool and all, but those kids are WHERE IT IS AT. The boys are rocking the hipster-chic suit-and-sneakers combo like champs, and that little girl already has the “IDGAF” red carpet pose down pat. Also, I want her dress.

KEIRA KNIGHTLEY in New York City
dress by Dolce & Gabbana

I love a good pair of Mary Janes as much as the next girl, but Keira defaults to them a little too often. A metallic pump or sandal would have gone a long way here.

I’m not a fan of the shoes, but the dress is exceptionally fantastic, and right up Keira’s quirky-chic alley.

DIANNA AGRON in Mexico City
gown by Carolina Herrera

Romantic, elegant, and lovely.

ANGELINA JOLIE in Sydney
gown by Gucci Première

Classic and unstoppably gorgeous. Gothic meets goth, in the best possible way.

REESE WITHERSPOON in Los Angeles
dress by Zac Posen, shoes by Christian Louboutin

Gorgeous detailing, and the nude pumps (which I dislike as a rule) work extraordinarily well here.

HAILEE STEINFELD in New York City
dress by Saint Laurent, shoes by Nicholas Kirkwood

It’s not even fair how much cooler this seventeen-year-old is than me.

CHRISTINA HENDRICKS in New York City
dress by Zac Posen, purse by Jimmy Choo, shoes by Bionda Castana

Photo: Andrew H. Walker/Getty

I’d have hemmed the dress an inch or too more, but you can’t go wrong with this gorgeous redhead in emerald. There is no more winning combination than that.

RIHANNA in Los Angeles
suit and shoes by Altuzarra

Photo: Jonathan Leibson/Getty

This happens every so often – a pop star goes through years of exposing her nipples on the red carpet, and then realizes that the most shocking thing she could do is dress up like Nancy Reagan if she was the editor of French Vogue. The hair and lipstick are a bit on the stupid side, but I’ll take a fabulous suit any day of the week, no questions asked.

ANNA KENDRICK in London
dress by Dolce & Gabbana

Photo: David M. Benett/Getty

Perfect for the holiday party/red carpet event combo situation. Not too Christmassy, but festive enough that she doesn’t look like a Grinch.

OLGA KURLYENKO in London
dress by Dolce & Gabbana

Photo: David M. Benett/Getty

Great dress, but the hair color is a nightmare and the makeup is all wrong.

KYLIE MINOGUE in London
dress, earrings, and shoes by Dolce & Gabbana

She looks like a Christmas ornament. I’ll accept it because she’s standing on fake snow, but it’s still completely absurd.

VICTORIA BECKHAM in Manchester
blouse and skirt by Victoria Beckham

In case you were curious, yes, Victoria Beckham is still wearing nothing but monochromatic Victoria Beckham. Her wardrobe stopped being even the least bit interesting about two years ago, and hasn’t picked up since.

SUKI WATERHOUSE in Munich
dress by Burberry Prorsum

Photo: Franziska Krug/Getty

Your shoes are fucking stupid.

DAKOTA FANNING in New York City
dress by Zac Posen, purse by Roger Vivier

Photo: Jim Spellman/WireImage

There’s “I woke up like this,” and there’s “I woke up like this on a train and I didn’t know what country I was in.” This feels like the latter.

GWYNETH PALTROW in Los Angeles
dress by Alice + Olivia

Photo: Rachel Murray/Getty

That reminds me, I have to work on my sci-fi mystery novel: GOOP and the Case of the Missing Eyebrows.

ANNE HATHAWAY in Los Angeles
jacket and pants by MaxMara, necklace by Marni, shoes by Jimmy Choo

Ladies and gentlemen… LIZA MINNELLI!
