Red Carpet Recap: Gaga, Mila, Glee, and More

So many starlets are strutting their stuff right now that a weekly fashion recap is just not enough! Let’s examine, and snarkily judge, what your favorite celebs have worn the past few days.

LADY GAGA // outfit by Salvatore Ferragamo

Divalicious to the max. The houndstood print continuing down her leg is simply inspired. Honey has never looked better.

LESLIE MANN // dress and purse by Marchesa, shoes by Jimmy Choo

STUH. NING. Look at the shoulders! That fabulous embellishment continuing in the twisted belt! Super-flattering, totally chic, and most importantly, unique. Get it, Mrs. Apatow!

MILA KUNIS // dress by Cacharel, purse by Chanel, shoes by Elie Saab

Photo: Tom & Lorenzo

Adorable. Love those shoes, and the dress is very adorable, in a fun mod throwback sort of way. The purse is cute, and clearly Mila agrees, since she brought it everywhere she went this week.

DIANNA AGRON // dress by Stella McCartney, shoes by Yves Saint Laurent

Surprisingly sexy for the usually demure Dianna. Her fashion choices only rarely impress me, but this dress is too cute. And the hair is adorable.

MILA KUNIS // dress by Calvin Klein Collection, purse by Chanel, shoes by Christian Louboutin

There’s that purse again! The dress is simple, and that slit is TOO short, but it’s a great summer night dress.

ROSAMUND PIKE // dress by Alexander McQueen

I don’t have a clue who this is, but she’s working the shit out of McQueen, so I already like her. That skinny belt is delicious on her figure.

MILA KUNIS // dress by Oscar de la Renta, purse by Chanel, shoes by Brian Atwood

That’s three strong looks from Mila this week, all featuring her ubiquitous gray-blue purse and fab summer dress.

LESLIE MANN // dress by Monique Lhuillier

Photo: Kevin Winter/Getty

Oof. This is a little rougher than her fabulous Marchesa look. With Leslie’s severe features, the detailing on this dress is just overwhelming. The shoes are too boring; the purse and belt are too ugly.

OLIVIA WILDE // dress by Dolce & Gabbana

Photo: Kevin Winter/Getty

I get that this Dolce & Gabbana star print is very happening right now, but I think it makes everybody look like they’re wearing pajamas.

FREIDA PINTO

Photo: PacificCoastNews.com

Freida: wear a dress that doesn’t look like it’s trying to run away from your body. Love the color, though. And the shoes. And your perfect Disney princess hair.

SANDRA BULLOCK // jumpsuit by Lanvin, shoes by Sergio Rossi

Photo: Kevan Brooks/AdMedia

By now, you’re surely aware that I am no fan of the jumpsuit, but even I can make a rare exception. Cameltoe aside, Sandra looks pretty fantastic in this, and I like the simple, strappy shoes.

OLIVIA WILDE // dress by Antonio Berardi, shoes by Brian Atwood

Photo: Sara De Boer/Startraks

Another dress that’s too severe for the starlet’s also-severe features. Blunt bangs and stick-straight hair really do not suit her features, and this dress looks like her look like an alien waitress. And, I’m sorry, but who picked out those shoes? And were they kidding?

AMBER HEARD // dress by Honor, shoes by Brian Atwood

Photo: Jason LaVeris/FilmMagic

Needs more jewelry and funkier shoes.

MIRANDA KERR

Photo: Lisa Maree Williams/Getty

I always love her dress and hate her shoes. Not that this is a dress – it barely qualifies as a leotard – but you get my point.

FREIDA PINTO // dress by Roland Mouret, shoes by Nicholas Kirkwood

Photo: James Devaney/WireImage

Freida, what did I say about the shapeless, droopy dresses? Thanks for at least keeping up the fabulous colors and shiny mermaid hair.

EMMA ROBERTS // dress by Leyendecker, shoes by Miu Miu

Photo: Eugene Gologursky/Getty

This is just ridiculous. It’s an awful dress to begin with, but it’s so much worse with her skin tone and those shoes. Also, who the hell would wear this in AUGUST?

CAT DEELEY

Photo: Jeffrey Ufberg/WireImage

Cute; boring. That basically sums it up.

JENNIFER HUDSON // dress by Lela Rose, shoes by Christian Louboutin

Photo: Charles Sykes/AP

I like what she’s going for here, but I wish those pieces on her hips didn’t end so abruptly, and I wish the underlay was longer. As it is, she looks like she’s wearing spanks and spiderwebs. And those earrings are hella tacky.

LADY GAGA

I don’t care who you are – leather motorcycle vests are not your look.

ANGELINA JOLIE // dress by Elie Saab, shoes by Jimmy Choo

Photo: Reuters/Dado Ruvic/Landov

I just hate everything she wears. Freida may have some droopy dress issues, but Angelina is full-addicted to the hide-my-eating-disorder dress. I’m not saying every lady needs to be in skin-tight clothes, but a dress that at least vaguely recalls the shape of a human body would be nice.

DIANNA AGRON // dress by Erdem

Photo: Justin Campbell/Startraks

Blech. Of all the dresses out there, why this ugly print? I don’t like the colors and the shine. The dress is a shade too tight, that black toenail polish is making me nauseous, and the heavy makeup doesn’t work for her.

GWYNETH PALTROW

Photo: Gary Gershoff/WireImage

SHE’S. SO. BORING.

KATIE HOLMES // sweater by Madewell, pants by Isabel Marant, shoes by Prada

Photo: Stacie McChesney/NBC/AP

Who the fuck is still wearing red leather pants? I mean, aside from sex workers?

JESSICA ALBA // dress by Dolce & Gabbana, purse by Roger Vivier

Photo: Jason Merritt/Getty

What I said before about that Dolce & Gabbana star print applies here: it just looks like pajamas. Oh, and Miss Teen Kentucky called. She wants her hairstyle back.
