The Week in Celebrity Fashion, Part 1

It’s been forever since we’ve gotten our bitch on, dear readers.

BEYONCE in New York City // scarf by Alexander McQueen, shoes by Alain Quilici

Probably my favorite Beyonce outfit of all time. Every item she’s wearing is phenomenal. The hair is fabulous and Babeyonce-Z must be snug as a bug in a rug McQueen scarf.

CATHERINE, DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE in Copenhagen, Denmark // coat by L.K. Bennett, boots by Stuart Weitzman

Beautiful coat, darling! Sensibly warm, fabulous color, perfect fit.

LADY GAGA in New Delhi, India // dress by Azzedine Alaïa, shoes by Christian Louboutin

It looks surprisingly comfortable, like this is Gaga’s loungewear. Which, let’s be honest, it probably is.

AMANDA SEYFRIED at the Berlin premiere of In Time // dress by Lyn Devon, shoes by Yves Saint Laurent

Photo: Rex

Adorable dress, great hair, boring shoes. She could use a little jewelry or another accessory, too. But she’s working the hell out of that sexy little cut-out dress.

This? Not so much. I’m all for a girl in a suit, but let’s just say it doesn’t surprise me that this is by H&M. It looks cheap as hell.

NIKKI REED at the Rome premiere of Twilight: Breaking Dawn, Part 1 // gown by Maria Lucia Hohan

Photo: Gareth Cattermole/Getty

From the front, it’s inoffensive. A little dull, and she needs to style her hair and put on a helluva lot more bling, but not terrible. And then I caught a glimpse of the back…

Hideous. A crime against fashion. Retire now, random Twilight actress. You’re done.

MAGGIE GYLLENHAAL at the Rome premiere of Hysteria // gown by Alexander McQueen

For the love of God, could you just wear a bra?

AMERICA FERRERA in London // dress by Nicole Miller, shoes by Giuseppe Zanotti

Photo: Rune Hellestad/Corbis

Fabulous, love the three-quarter length sleeves, and the shoes are adorable. Her body looks incredible in that dress!

ANNE HATHAWAY at a gala in New York City // dress by Valentino, shoes by Christian Louboutin

Photo: Stephen Lovekin/Getty

This Valentino Fall 2011 couture dress is lovely – it was actually my red carpet prediction for Taylor Swift – but I just don’t think Annie’s doing enough work. Those shoes seem very old-fashioned, the hair is unreasonably lazy, and the makeup doesn’t work with this dress at all.

KERRY WASHINGTON at a gala in New York City // gown by Ralph Lauren

Photo: Ivan Nikolov/WENN

I really want to like this dress, but I hate wrinkled formalwear, even if it’s wrinkled intentionally. But the color is divine, even if the fit is awful. Fierce hair, too – it’s hard to make that 1920s fingercurl work with longer hair, but Kerry’s working it.

KERRY WASHINGTON at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC // top and skirt by Marc Jacobs

That print’s a little “grandma’s sofa,” but she’s posing like there’s no tomorrow, so she kind of pulls it off.

TAYLOR SWIFT in Nashville, Tennessee // dress by Ted Baker

Photo: Royce DeGrie/Getty Images

You’re not an eleven-year-old girl, so stop dressing like one.

KIM KARDASHIAN at a party in New York City

Photo: Dennis Van Tine/Starmax

You’d think someone smart enough to craft a marriage worth $5,000 an hour would know to never pair a Studio 54 romper with a giant floppy white vest. Sadly, just when we think Kim can’t sink any lower, she does.

OLIVIA PALERMO at a gala in Hollywood // dress by Rochas, fur stole by Giorgio Armani, shoes by Charlotte Olympia

Photo: Richie Buxo/Splash News

Did horses trample this gown before Olivia put it on? Why does that fabric look so beat up? The almost-but-not-quite matching pink shoes are killing me, the purse is out of left field, and the fur stole seems incredibly stuffy and old-fashioned.

SARAH JESSICA PARKER at a Melbourne, Australia press event for I Don’t Know How She Does It // dress by Vera Wang, shoes by Manolo Blahnik

Photo: Scope Australia/Pacific Coast News

That dress is kind of impossible to look at, the yellow is awful on her skin, the white Manolos are worse, and that necklace is silly.

SARAH JESSICA PARKER at the Australian premiere of I Don’t Know How She Does It // dress by Prabal Gurung, shoes by Pierre Hardy

Adorable dress. Shoes are better, purse is only okay. I’d have gone with different jewelry, but the overall look is pretty great.

FERGIE at a gala in New York City // dress and blazer by Armani

Fergie, it’s time to file a lawsuit against your plastic surgeon.

BLAKE LIVELY at a Christian Louboutin party // coat by Valentino, purse and shoes by Christian Louboutin

Photo: Rex

Blake’s hair is disturbing to me. How long has it been since she’s washed it? And how did she make Britney Spears’ red bodysuit into a raincoat? And more importantly, what is she wearing underneath it? Well, dear readers…

BLAKE LIVELY // dress by Dolce & Gabbana

Yes, underneath her red leather flasher coat was this lingerie masquerading as a dress. I’m not sure it’s legal to wear this in public, though. The shoes are phenomenal, but everything else is kind of a trashy hot disaster.

ASHLEY GREENE at a gala in New York City // dress by Donna Karan, shoes by Casadei

Ashley Greene and her breast implants are so proud to have been voted Prom Queen, y’all!!

I hope you enjoy the new layout, darlings! Your comments are always appreciated.

Beyonce looks amazing. Im really in love with that amzing scarf and those shoes!
Kate Middleton looks boring as usual. I love the color and the coat in general, but you should never wear boots with a coat that is longer than the top of those boots. Its all a little stiff and doesnt look like she was planning on working while she was there.
I actually like what Taylor is wearing. I think the dress is siuper cute even if she has worn it hundreds of times.
Why does Ashley Greene get invited to things? She has the most boring style ever, and she is the least talented person out of those Twilight films, and that says a lot. That dress could work on someone who is not a total robot on the red carpet.

  2. The colour of the Kate’s coat is awesom, Amanda’s suit should burn. Together with Anne Hathaway’s make-up girl and Kim Kardashian’s whole outfit.
